Company Registration in Bosnia and Herzegovina - Step by Step

Starting a company in Bosnia and Herzegovina involves several legal and administrative steps. Foreign individuals and legal entities may establish companies in BiH, subject to the applicable company and registration laws.

Main registration steps

In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, company registration generally includes:

  • preparation and notarization of the founding act

  • payment of the initial share capital

  • registration before the competent municipal court

  • obtaining the company stamp

  • opening a business bank account

  • registration of the company and employees with the Tax Administration

According to the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the court registration procedure should generally be completed within five days after a complete application is submitted.
